How do I connect WhatsApp to Gennai?
Open your Gennai dashboard, go to the Integrations tab and select WhatsApp, then add your phone number. It is connected straight away, with no app to install. From then on, just send your invoices and receipts to the Gennai bot on WhatsApp.
Do I need a WhatsApp Business account?
No. Gennai works with any WhatsApp account, personal or WhatsApp Business, on iPhone, Android or WhatsApp Desktop. You use the WhatsApp you already have.
What invoices and receipts can I send?
You can send PDF invoices up to 16 MB and photos of paper receipts or tickets in JPEG, PNG or WebP up to 5 MB. Gennai's AI reads documents in over 100 languages, so the format and language of the invoice don't matter.
How do I know an invoice was processed?
The bot replies in the chat with the supplier, amount and date it extracted, along with a link to your dashboard. If a document isn't an invoice or is a duplicate, the bot tells you that too, so you always know what happened.
Does sending invoices use my plan credits?
Yes, each processed invoice uses one credit from your plan, exactly like an invoice captured from email. If you send something that isn't an invoice, or a document you've already submitted, Gennai automatically uses no credit.
Can my whole team send invoices from WhatsApp?
Yes. You can connect multiple phone numbers to the same organization, so each teammate files invoices from their own WhatsApp. The number of connections available depends on your plan.
Is my data secure?
Gennai only processes the invoices and receipts you send to the bot. Nothing else in your chats is read. Every document is stored securely, every connection is logged for your audit trail, and you can disconnect at any time.
How do I disconnect WhatsApp?
You can disconnect from the Integrations tab in your dashboard, or by sending the word disconnect to the bot. Either option stops processing immediately, and invoices already in your dashboard are not affected.
